Source: Miami-Dade RER building permits (rolling 2 years), bucketed by month and zip; zip boundaries from Census ZCTA shapes. Acceleration = last-12-month permit count vs the 12 months before. Uncolored zips fell below the minimum-activity cutoff (lower it to shade them). Zips 33192 / 33195 are PO-box-only zips with no real boundary, so they never appear on the map.
